The Reserve Bank India has notified on November 1, 2007 that no further purchases of shares of M/s Gujarat NRE Coke Limited, should be made through stock exchanges in India on behalf of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS). The Reserve Bank of India has stated that the aggregate share holding of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) in M/s Gujarat NRE Coke Limited, has reached the overall limit of 24 per cent of its paid up capital.
