Chandigarh Regional Office started functioning on October 03, 1966. Initially the Office started with only Agriculture Credit Department (ACD). In 1968, Agriculture Refinance Corporation (ARC), later on known as Agriculture Refinance & Development Corporation (ARDC) also started functioning from here. Exchange Control Department (ECD), now called the Foreign Exchange Department (FED), followed on September 01, 1978. Subsequently, all other operational and specialised departments started operations. At present, the Office functions with 16 departments/Cells. The Office moved to its own building in Sector 17 in 1988.

• FIDD: Except Himachal Pradesh

• FED: Except Sonipat, Gurugram and Faridabad Districts of Haryana

• DOS(e-DBS): Except Haryana

• DOS(e-DNBS): Except Haryana

• DOS (e-DCBS): Except Himachal Pradesh.

• OBO: Includes only Panchkula, Yamuna Nagar and Ambala Districts of Haryana

• CPEC: Except Himachal Pradesh, and includes only Panchkula, Yamuna Nagar & Ambala Districts of Haryana
