The Reserve Bank of India had on May 7, 2007 notified that under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS), Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) can now purchase equity shares and convertible debentures of Paramount Cables Ltd., through primary markets and stock exchanges in India. The company's name should actually be read as Paramount Communications Ltd.

The purchases of equity shares and convertible debentures of Paramount Communications Ltd. through primary markets and stock exchanges in India can be made upto 49 per cent of the paid up capital of the company which includes a sub limit of 10% for Non Resident Indian (NRI), as it has passed resolutions to this effect at the Board of Directors' and the Extra-Ordinary General Meetings.
