The Reserve Bank of India has today notified that the aggregate share holding of the Heritage Foods India Ltd. by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) have gone below the trigger limit of 22 per cent of their paid up capital. The restriction placed on the purchase of shares of the above company on behalf of FIIs may be treated as withdrawn with immediate effect. It will therefore be in order to purchase shares of the company in the secondary market on behalf of FIIs under PIS who have obtained permission to invest under the Portfolio Investment Scheme subject to the existing ceilings and guidelines in this regard.
