The Reserve Bank of India has today notified that the aggregate share holdings in Pantaloon Retail (India) Limited by Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS) has  gone below the prescribed threshold limit stipulated under the extant FDI policy. Therefore, no further purchases of equity shares of the company in the primary/secondary markets on behalf of FIIs would be allowed without obtaining prior clearance of the Reserve Bank of India.
