The Reserve Bank of India has today notified that Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) can now purchase equity shares of Dish TV India Ltd. under Portfolio Investment Scheme (PIS), through stock exchanges in India. The Reserve Bank of India has stated that the holdings of FIIs/NRIs/PIOs in the company have gone down below 49 per cent limit of its paid up capital.
