The Reserve Bank India has notified today that the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs)/Overseas Corporate Bodies (OCBs) share holding in the Network 18 Media & Investment Ltd. has reached the overall limit of 11.62 per cent of its paid up equity capital. Therefore no further purchases of shares of the company would be allowed through stock exchanges in India on behalf of FIIs/NRI/OCB without prior approval of the Reserve Bank of India.

On receipt of such proposals, clearance will be given by the Reserve Bank of India, on first-come-first-served basis, after taking into account the purchases proposed to be made by all designated bank branches, till 13.12 per cent limit is reached.
